Finally, Running.

I joined a triathlon club at BYU, and it was great! I met a lot of really cool people who all liked running. We did a 16x 400m workout on the BYU track, but I ended up only doing 12 reps, because I was still getting acclimated to the altitude. I instantly clicked with the group, and had a great time. It felt like track back at HSE, but with people who were more focused on the Gospel. We even started out with a prayer, which I'm still getting used to, but is really cool considering that never happens in Indy.

Sunday Productivity

Today was probably one of the best Sundays I've had in a long time. I found out which ward I was supposed to go to, and had a great sacrament meeting and sunday school. A speaker I really liked was the stake president of the area (I don't remember his name), and he gave a talk on how faith is different and personal for everyone. He explained that water was special to Moses, and that's why so many miracles were related to water when God helped Moses. (Parting of the Red Sea, Turning the River into blood, hitting the rock and having water come out, etc). Faith is different for everyone and is personal for everyone, just like the Atonement. In Sunday School, I got to have a discussion about D&C 79 and 80, which were directions given by God to some missionaries. One part that really stuck out to me and the group was D&C 80:3, which reads:  Wherefore, go ye and preach my gospel, whether to the north or to the south, to the east or to the west, it mattereth not, for y...

Timeless

The seconds They tick by For what purpose? By whose authority?   Shall we bind ourselves to the wrinkles of this passing which we call time? As Michael Stevens once said,  Time is now something that can be spent. We  shackle our wrists to it.   Indeed, we are a slave to our definition.   It is true that this time is important. But important enough to worry over all our lives?  Consider existing.  The cause of existence arouses much debate. But time. For some reason, the vast majority of us acknowledge its existence.   Why argue over pointless things? Why argue at all? Time is far spent, and it is running out.   Because we designed it to.   Time. It's a child of our thought. A child of our minds. A child, born out of a need to control more than just the physical world around us.   A child, designed to control yet another dimension.   Some of us make the most of it. Some, falter and waste it away, for we designed it with that abi...

Subject

Sit on the couch Discuss life Why? Some individuals have more experience Well, different experience.  Different enough that it may help.  Help how? Subject to change. Subject to different change.  Enjoy the help. It's always help.  Some less good, some more good But any help restores the spark of knowledge A spark - a reminder Humanity still desires to fix To flourish, but flourish comes from strength in others.  Strength together.  Sometimes. Sometimes not.  They say strength in numbers.  They also say strength in pain And strength in faith Yet What is the source of this strength Subject to change.

Creation

What is the origin of creativity? Surely such a thing must come to pass For all of time and eternity, things, essence, it all has sprung from creation. A desire to create. To build.   Why? Expressing self-worth, Yet invoking uniqueness And often, obliterating the creations of other in the process. For these days are saddened the creation of one begins from the destruction of another But such is the universe?   Yes.    Consider all things.  All purpose. All uniqueness. You may say it is not unique.  The universe does not care. Unique is simply a construct - a  thing  - developed   developed by Man A label for something like no other, at least something like no other, according to Man   developing? Maintaining? Creating?   For what purpose? The root of all creation, comes desire   A desire for knowledge, for acknowledgement A desire to change   With sad tale it is so: To create, one must have destroyed At least, for us. ...

Ordinaries

Behold! A world wrought with prosperity Alas, a world also wrought with the lack thereof A superposition of sorts, where parts of this world are stable, yet others, they falter. Behold! A gathering of beings. Some flourish. Some do not. Those who do not, are called Ordinary. Behold! A person. Ordinary. By whose standards? Yours? Mine? Alas, the standards of the beings. But this person stands free A lack of desire for conformity, Yet a profound desire for morality. Behold! A Community! Birthed from the works of this person known as Ordinary, Such ordinary things canst bring great things? Perhaps, but let us define the state of ordinary. Behold. A struggle. A struggle of a person. The person known as Ordinary. Behold. Thy struggle. The struggle of Your person. Deemed by thy community as Ordinary. Behold the shared struggle. Behold the advances arising from said struggles. Behold. I say to thee aga...
